Pachappa Hill: It's like Living in a Dream Land

Pachappa Hill is a granite rock surrounded by a city. Below on one side the green of the Wood Streets unfold until they seem to about Mt. Rubidoux. Off to the north, the valley gives way to the often snow-capped San Bernardino Mountains. A unique place, Pachappa Hill with its sprawling homes remains secluded while it is in the heart of the city. A hideout in plain site.

There is privacy. About twenty $170,000 to $300,000 homes wind up the narrow Pachappa Hill road lined with granite outcroppings, brush and trees. Close to the base of the hill are about 50 homes on Pachappa Drive and a few dead-end streets. There are also apartments at the base of the hill on the Highway 91 side, but the street does not connect with any of the hill's other roads.
